NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS
We are very happy to announce that we are now accepting nominations for the 2021 ICBOC National Awards.
The deadline to submit your nomination is July 15th, 2021!
We are presenting two awards; The Phoenix Award and The Soaring Eagle Award. At the bottom of the page you will find an Award Nomination Form in both English and French to elect a member of your team you feel worthy of this recognition.
The Phoenix Award
This award is presented to an individual who exemplifies outstanding personal resilience, courage, determination and professional competence in the face of uncommon hardships. The challenges they have overcome can be professional and/or personal in nature.
The Soaring Eagle Award This award is presented to an individual whose pursuit of knowledge and skills in her/his field has been exemplary and who has purposefully utilized their knowledge and skills beyond their professional mandate, to serve their community and make a difference in the lives of others.

Eligibility; the person nominated must:
Be professionally certified by the Indigenous Certification Board of Canada.
Be employed in an agency, program, or community that predominantly serves First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people.
Be employed, or have been employed and providing the care for which they are being nominated, for three (3) years or more

Nomination Review Process
All nomination forms must be received at the main office of ICBOC in Vancouver, British Columbia by Thursday July 15th 2021.
The Award Review Panel shall consist of the Interim Executive Director, the Registrar and the Board President, or her/his chosen board designate.
Announcement of Winners
The winners of our National Awards will be notified by email. ICBOC provides each winner with a $500 award bursary. The winner’s names, and if they agree, their photo, will be posted on our website. The Indigenous national media will receive a press release announcing the recipients of the awards. The employer of each of the recipients will also be notified by email.
ICBOC will make every effort to present the awards, at a conference or other event located in the province of the recipients, within 90 days of the announcement.
